Executive Vice President Lisa Buckingham is the chief human resources officer for Lincoln Financial Group, and she is an expert in consulting and collaborating with C-suite leadership, functional teams and the HR community.
Buckingham has more than 20 years of experience in all aspects of human resources management. Forbes named her as one of the top 10 Chief Human Resources Officers in the US in 2015 saying that her “solid strategic mind, and innovative thinking around talent and leadership will likely carry Buckingham all the way to the CEO chair.” When Lisa was also included on Diversity Magazine’s “Women Worth Watching” list she said, “While many companies focused on simple survival, we concentrated on reinvention, literally recreating the company to make human resources a true strategic partner by helping the organization acquire and retain the right talent, develop and motivate employees and focus resources.”
Buckingham earned her bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University. Her professional areas of focus include organizational development, total rewards strategies, change management and talent management.
She is on the Board of Directors of the HR Policy Association and is an active member of the Personnel Roundtable and the new American Health Policy Institute.
Buckingham was named 2012 Pennsylvania Woman of the Year by the Pennsylvania Diversity Council.
She also serves on the boards of the Eagles Youth Partnership and chairs the Lincoln Foundation.

Dr. Peterson is an expert in leadership emergence and development. She serves as a faculty member at Arizona State University’s W. P. Carey School of Business where she teaches an Executive MBA course titled High Impact Leadership and serves as a liaison between industry and academia.
Her leadership research has appeared in top business and psychology journals and she has presented her ideas to a variety of audiences worldwide.
In her industry-related work, she specializes in executive coaching and team-based coaching with a focus on the development of leadership behaviors that characterize extraordinary leaders. Emphasizing leadership style and credibility, effective communication, and relationship building as critical building blocks to leadership success, she has delivered talks and advised senior leaders in many of today’s Fortune 500 firms including JP Morgan Chase, Bank of America/Merrill Lynch, Fidelity, Prudential, Morgan Stanley, State Farm, Estee Lauder, and McDonalds, among others.
