Mark Nageotte has more than 20 years' experience working in marketing and communications in a variety of industries. He is responsible for effectively communicating with the numerous audiences served by Kolbe Corp while also leading the marketing team in developing and executing strategies to support the company’s sales efforts.
Before coming to Kolbe, Mark worked in industries ranging from banking to health care to hospitality to IT (information technology). As a business communicator he has served as a speech writer, edited numerous publications, and managed public relations efforts for events ranging from bank robberies to the rollout of new semiconductor technologies. During his career in the technology field, he became very proficient at translating “tech-speak” into language that could be understood by mainstream consumers (i.e., “the rest of us”). Earlier in his career, Mark also worked as a high school teacher, coach, and social worker.
While Mark has lived in northern New Jersey, the Bay Area, Los Angeles, Rome, and Tucson, he considers Phoenix home and has lived here for more than 25 years. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, and his Masters in Journalism from the University of Arizona.
In his free time, Mark likes to hike, read, exercise, write novels, and listen to the music of Mozart, Jerry Jeff Walker, and 10,000 Maniacs. He also likes to work with young people as a sports coach and as a facilitator with Junior Achievement. He and his wife, Sandra, have three adult children and a mutt named Molly.
