William K. Rapp is an internationalist who brings more than three decades of experience in finance, management and organizational development to his role as President of Kolbe International. He is responsible for extending Kolbe’s global reach to companies in Australia, Belgium, Croatia, Mexico, the Netherlands, Nigeria, South Africa and the United Kingdom. Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, Rapp oversees client relations with Kolbe’s multinational customers, and delivers certification training in the US and abroad. Rapp came to Kolbe from the International Division of one of the nation’s largest regional banks, where he was responsible for worldwide lending and marketing activities.
Prior to that, he spent ten years in Argentina and Brazil, serving in a variety of executive positions for Citicorp. He has traveled extensively on special assignments for his worldwide consulting practice, catering to a global list of clients including Fortune 100 firms in the US.
Rapp’s international management experience earned him an appointment by the US Secretary of Commerce to chair a regional District Export Council. He has also served at a senior level in state government as a loaned executive to the Governor of Arizona to develop international capabilities and services. A frequent guest lecturer, moderator and panelist for conferences around the world, Rapp is known for his insights on international trade and financing, multicultural approaches to management, and maximizing team or individual productivity. He is a founding member and Chairman Emeritus of the Phoenix Committee on Foreign Relations.
Rapp resides in Phoenix with his wife, Kathy Kolbe, and has five children and eight grandchildren. He is a sports enthusiast and enjoys spending time with his family.
