After another highly competitive year, complete with a rigorous nomination, application, and interview process, Kolbe Corp is excited to announce the winners of this year’s Conative Excellence Awards!
This award honors a Kolbe Certified™ Consultant who has developed a high level of expertise in Kolbe Theory and has used Kolbe products and methodologies to impact organizations and/or individuals.

Morgan Hutchings (9425), a Kolbe Certified™ Consultant and Strategic Communication Coach, is the catalyst behind building great teams for a growing list of private practices and companies. His specialties include strategic analysis, establishing and reinforcing core values, opening communication, and instilling discipline so your team can thrive while fulfilling your entrepreneurial vision.
Morgan was born to communicate with others, and his role as a coach and mentor allows him the opportunity to challenge the status quo, seek continuous improvement within your organization, and improve the lives of entrepreneurs around the world.
Morgan continues to defy convention, challenge his coaching clients and motivate entrepreneurs to build autonomous teams to more quickly realize their vision.
He uses Kolbe in his work with audiology groups nationwide. The results for his clients include increased employer retention and satisfaction with a rapid practice growth and greatly increased patient satisfaction.
“The team understanding their strengths and relying on themselves is so, so useful,” Morgan said. “I don’t want anybody to come and work a day in our offices and feel like they are getting put in a position that makes them miserable. And the same is true for the entrepreneurs and the business owners that I work with. To watch them go through that suffering point of not knowing how to get around it, it’s still all about freedom to me.”

While it may seem their primary assets should be their properties, they know better; people are truly the best and most valuable part of Riverstone. Their residents take pride in their homes and work hard for their families, and their team works hard to constantly improve the experience they provide residents at our manufactured housing communities nationwide. Riverstone’s mission is to enrich the lives of those residents and team members, and Kolbe plays a big part in accomplishing that mission.
Each Riverstone team member goes through an individual interpretation. There’s also a discussion with their supervisor and they do a Comparisons: A to A™ report to understand how they work best and to understand how their strengths can help them collaborate. They reference their Kolbe results when working on project teams and throughout various situations. It’s part of their culture.
“It’s helped us see a lot of success,” adds Hillary Snyder. “Turnover has reduced and overall team member satisfaction has improved. Folks enjoy what they’re doing because it plays to their strengths for the most part. When it doesn’t, they know how to fix it.”
Upon receiving the Kolbe Professional Award at KolbeCon 2023, Snyder added, “I’m just blown away that you guys chose us. I’ve been so appreciative of it. And really, Kolbe has changed our company and we cannot thank you guys enough.”
